Jaquez's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

28-year old forward Franklyn Jaquez (197-F-1997) had an amazing evening in the last round for Bonao Basket and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out Santiago Max (#2, 5-4) 74-70. Bonao is placed at 5th position in Dominican Rep. league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 6 games and recorded just two victories. In the team's last game Jaquez had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Bonao's top player in his first season with the team. Jaquez has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 21.5ppg and leads league in rebounds with 10.8rpg. Jaquez is in league's top in and averages solid 1.1bpg and 51.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Rich Polanco (203-F-1997) of Puerto Plata de Realeza. He is a forward in his first season at Puerto Plata. In the last game Polanco recorded an impressive triple-double of 10 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. It was enough for Puerto Plata to edge slightly lower-ranked Bonao (#5, 2-6) by 5 points 70-65. Puerto Plata's 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-5 record. Polanco is a newcomer at Puerto Plata and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.9ppg (#6). His other stats are also decent: 8.6rpg and 6.5apg.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Randy Ovalle (201-F) of LDC Ignite PP (#3). Ovalle scored 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He was a key player of LDC Ignite, leading his team to a 80-70 win against Don Bosco (#8, 0-1). The chances of LDC Ignite ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 5 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Ovalle could help LDC Ignite to bring them higher in the standings. Ovalle has a great season in Dominican Republic. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.8rpg (4th best).
